Background This document is a final
draft of the City of The purpose of this Plan
is to reduce the potential impact of natural hazards that can and do
affect the City of The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the New Hampshire Bureau of Emergency Management (NH BEM) are requiring every municipality in the State to have an approved plan in place prior to November 1st, 2004. When this draft is sent to FEMA the City will be in compliance with this requirement. After a period of public comment via email a public hearing will be held by the City Council to receive comment on the Plan. After comments have been received from the Public, neighboring communities and the City Council, the Plan will be revised as necessary and sent to FEMA and NH BEM for approval. After receiving approval the Plan will then be adopted by the City as an official annex to the City’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). Adoption of the Plan will take place a second public hearing. Comments on the Plan are encouraged and can be submitted below via email. Please be as specific as possible. That dates of the public hearings are yet to be determined, but shall be duly noticed when each date is established.
