TIP Amendment #6 & Associated Air Quality Conformity Findings The Rockingham Planning Commission announces its intent to amend the 2007-2010 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the region to account for short range project changes. There is no air quality impact to the changes made within the RPC region as they are primarily changes in cost or changes in project timeframes that do not impact air quality analysis years. Therefore, existing air quality analyses from the most recent air quality conformity evaluation remain valid and will be used for the Rockingham Planning Commission portion of the Boston-Manchester-Portsmouth (Southeast) New Hampshire nonattainment area. The project specific changes to the TIP are attached to this announcement, and the most recent Conformity Analysis, along with the full TIP and Long Range Plan documents, can be found on the Rockingham Planning Commission website at http://www.rpc-nh.org. The FY 2007-2010 TIP is a prioritized list of regional transportation priorities developed by representatives from communities within the RPC region. A 30-day public comment period for these changes begins Tuesday, March 11th, 2008 and concludes with a public hearing to solicit public comment scheduled on Wednesday, April 9th, 2008, beginning at 7:00 PM at the Hampton Falls Town Hall, located at 1 Drinkwater Road in Hampton Falls. The Planning Commission will meet after the public hearing to adopt the changes to the documents. Copies of all documents, along with supporting documentation, will be available at the offices of the Rockingham Planning Commission, via the link above, or in hard copy upon request request. Written comments will also be accepted through April 9th, 2008 and may be addressed to: Rockingham Planning Commission, 156 Water Street, Exeter, NH 03833. Email: email@rpc-nh.org with TIP Amendments in the subject line. For more information please contact David Walker at 778-0885.
Seacoast Regional Public Transit Human Services Transportation Coordination Plan The Rockingham Planning Commission invites public comment on the Coordinated Public Transit Human Services Transportation Plan For the Seacoast Region of New Hampshire. This plan addresses a region of thirty-eight communities in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire. The Plan has been developed by the Alliance for Community Transportation (ACT), the Strafford Regional Planning Commission (SRPC), and the Rockingham Planning Commission (RPC) in response to federal requirements in the 2005 Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act -- A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU). SAFETEA-LU established a federal mandate for regional public transit human service coordination planning. The law requires that a public transit human service coordination plan be in place before transportation service providers may obtain federal funding targeted toward human services under applicable funding programs administered by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). A 30-day public comment period on the plan begins Tuesday, March 11th, 2008 and concludes with a public hearing to solicit public comment scheduled on Wednesday, April 9th, 2008, beginning at 7:00 PM at the Hampton Falls Town Hall, located at 1 Drinkwater Road in Hampton Falls. The Planning Commission will meet after the public hearing to adopt the changes to the documents. Copies of the Plan will be available at the offices of the Rockingham Planning Commission, via the link above, or in hard copy upon request request. Written comments will also be accepted through April 9th, 2008 and may be addressed to: Rockingham Planning Commission, 156 Water Street, Exeter, NH 03833. Email: email@rpc-nh.org with TIP Amendments in the subject line. For more information please contact Scott Bogle at 778-0885.
