2007-2026 Long Range Transportation Plan

Notice of Comment Period and Public Hearing

Rockingham Planning Commission

The Rockingham Planning Commission announces its intent to amend the 2007-2010 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and 2007-2026 Long Range Transportation Plan for the region to account for short range project changes, conform to new planning boundaries, and to meet the requirements of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU). A 30-day public comment period for these documents begins Wednesday, September 11th, 2007 and concludes with a public hearing to solicit public comment scheduled on Wednesday, October 10th, 2007, beginning at 7:00 PM at the Rockingham Planning Commission offices in Exeter. The Planning Commission will meet after the public hearing to adopt the changes to the documents.

The FY 2007-2010 TIP is a prioritized list of regional transportation priorities developed by representatives from communities within the RPC region. The 2007-2026 Long Range Plan project listing is a set of projects that can reasonably be expected to be constructed within the twenty-seven town RPC region during the next 20 years.

Copies of both documents, along with supporting documentation, will be available at town libraries in Exeter, Hampton, Plaistow, Portsmouth, Salem, Windham, and the offices of the Rockingham Planning Commission, and will be sent to interested parties by request.
