Transportation Enhancement Program: Round 9 Project Proposal Evaluation |

Tuesday, September 15th was the deadline for submittal of proposals for Round 9 of the federal Transportation Enhancement (TE) funding program. The RPC received eleven proposals, including eight from municipalities and three from state agencies, requesting a total of approximately $6.2 million in federal funding. Statewide NHDOT received 52 proposals requesting approximately $22 million. This compares to a statewide pool of approximately $6 million for the two year funding round. If divided equally among the nine regional planning commission regions, this would equate to approximately $670,000 per region. Staff have reviewed and rated the proposals received based on the evaluation criteria approved by the TAC and Policy Committee in July. We have prepared individual summary/scoring sheets for each project, including staff comments, information on projects’ consistency with or listing in local and regional plans, local support, a project area map, and staff rankings. These are linked below. Also linked below are scanned copies of the full proposals for those interested in further detail. These vary in length from about 20 pages to over 100 pages. The file size is noted next to each proposal for reference. At the Policy Committee Meeting on October 14th Staff will review the evaluation criteri and briefly summarize each project and the rankings recommended by Staff and the Technical Advisory Committee. We will ask Policy Committee members to review the project summaries, consider any changes to rankings proposed at the meeting, and vote to adopt a final regional ranking which will be forwarded to NHDOT for the Statewide selection process.
