Using Local Transit and Paratransit Services

There are many area Health & Human service transportation providers, all of which vary in their schedules and the clientele they serve.

These agencies have developed transportation services because many of their clients do not have access to an automobile or are for some other reason unable to drive.

Several of these services are demand responsive, meaning that an individual may be able to call in and request a specific trip, and in some cases, to be picked up at home. Also, most of these services utilize vehicles that are ADA accessible, though not all. For example, Transportation Assistance for Seacoast Citizens (TASC) uses all volunteer drivers with their personal automobiles. All of these services have specific guidelines, so the first step is to call the contact person listed and relate your needs.
